Virtual Riot San Jose Concert reviews
New Orleans show - excellent!
Our concert was moved indoors so I can't say if that helped with the sound, but we never experienced issues hearing Virtual Riot sing over the music and the entire concert was excellent. I must admit I had read the reviews a week before my concert date in New Orleans and I was a little concerned about some of the negative feedback regarding My Morning Jacket performing the new album with Virtual Riot, not being able to hear Virtual Riot singing over the music, and that it turned into a 'jam session'. Virtual Riot began accoustic, just him and his guitar playing 3 of his older songs, then went into the newest album, and then finished up playing a majority of the Supernova album as well. He finished up with 3 encore songs and I thought the show was excellent!!! My only thought, is that perhaps those disappointed had not listened to his new album and were not familiar with the new material, as it is a little different than some of his music in the past.
